Nad's Supports Bruno !

A recent article posted on Australian Women Online has deemed Bruno, the controversial fashion icon, as being right when it comes to men and hair removal.

The article details results from a recent survey we conducted, providing statistics such as, "9 in 10 women find hairy men less attractive" and "out of the 89 per cent of women that find excess body hair a turnoff, 60 per cent cited a hairy back as the biggest no no."

However with men now going to greater lengths to remove hair in the hope of attracting women, is it only fair that women do the same ?

"Out of the two thirds of women who let their hair grow wild in winter, the most common area women let their hair grow was the legs "

Nadine Ismiel , our head of Research and Development has spoken out on the matter saying "I think us ladies should definitely be practicing what we preach by making sure our own bodies are silky smooth before we start hassling our hairy other halves!”

Why you should ALWAYS read the instructions.

During my usual YouTube surfing session, I decided to search for videos posted about Nads.

To my surprise I came across some interesting posts about our products. Of all the posts this one (see below) was bar far the most humerous and clearly a result of not reading the instructions before using our product.

This eager YouTuber decided she would try Nads Original Gel for the first time and share her experience with rest of the world. Unfortunately she had not read the instructions inside the pack clearly explaining how to use the product.

The result? Well this video speaks for itself really ....

Anyone who has had any experience with waxing or has used our products would know this is not the correct way to wax. They would also know that waxing is not nearly as painful as she has portrayed.

SO... here is a demonstrational video on the correct way to use Nads Original Gel .

You can view this and many other demonstrational videos at
www.nads.com.au

If your curious to know what some of the other You Tube posts about Nads were like , here is another clip posted by a couple of girls trying Nads for the first time also, evidently the product worked well.

If you have any questions about any of our products and how to use them to achieve the best results please contact our friendly and always helpful customer service line on :

Women’s Excessive Facial Hair Growth - there’s no need to suffer!

Excessive facial hair for women can be an embarrassing issue and finding ways to treat escessive facial hair can be a difficult task.
Here is some information on what causes excessive facial hair and how it can be treated.

Excessive facial or body hair in women is a condition called hirsutism.
Hirsutism either runs in the family, usually presenting at menopause and puberty, or it can be an indicator of a larger underlying problem. Research indicates that up to 10-12% of the Australian female population is affected by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which can be linked to excessive hair growth and hirsutism.

Hereditary hirsutism is largely an aesthetic rather than a health concern. When not hereditary it is most likely the result of excessive male hormone production (adrenal virilism), or an increased sensitivity of the hair follicle to normal male hormone levels.
It is important to both a woman's health and her self-confidence to have this condition diagnosed by a doctor.

Hirsutism and any hormone imbalance that may underlie this condition can be treated. Excessive facial and/or body hair can be managed. Electrolysis is one means of managing excess hair but this can be painful, slow and very costly requiring many visits as only one follicle at a time is usually treated by sending an electrical pulse down the hair shaft.

Laser hair removal (as distinct from the much less effective IPL) is a much more manageable maintenance procedure as it treats a larger number of follicles at a time, is more comfortable thanelectrolysis and provides fast effective treatments.

Hormonal hair growth via Laser therapy is efcient and manageable but not always a permanent solution as it is likely that hormonal hair regrowth may occur although usually at a much slower rate and usually much thinner than before, so hirsutism sufferers should be wary of claims by any service provider tha they will achieve a permanent solution.

A woman might consider bleaching her facial hair, which makes it less visible alternatively regularly waxing can also assist. All of these methods should be used as means to treating the symptom, but any woman with progressing hirsutism should consult a doctor for a diagnosis in order not to compromise her health, or her self-confidence.

Nad’s Laser Clinic treats a number of hirsutism sufferer’s however warns that when it comes to facial hair, clients need to carefully select their treatment provider as Nad’s Clinics see a large number of clients that have been treated by inexperienced IPL and Laser Clinics. Inappropriate treatment can result in additional hair growth to facial or hormonal areas.

Nad’s Clinic warns that ONLY the affected areas should be treated by highly skilled therapists that have a sound understanding and many years experience in dealing with skin as inappropriate treatments may result in adverse side effects.. Additionally, certain medications are photosensitive and can result in an adverse affect if a pre treatment Consultation is not accurately conducted by skilled Therapists.

Fashion Weekend Success

Fashion Weekend was last weekend 14th-17th May. The weekend was a great success with lots of enquiries about our laser hair removal service as well as a heap of people entering into our "Win $500 worth of Laser draw".

In between the rush of frantic women racing through the crowds in hope of grabbing a bargain, we managed to get the attention of many interested laser hair removal prospects.

While answering questions and providing general information about our laser service we also managed to check out the sales, picking up a bargain or two for ourselves- proving to be a very productive weekend for us all

Here are some pics of our stand ...

Questions you need to ask before choosing a laser hair removal clinic.

Hi All,

With so many laser clinics claiming cheap laser hair removal treatments, so many years experience, expert advice, pain free, permanent hair removal and so on... it becomes very difficult to decide which laser clinic you should choose.
We have put together a laser clinic checklist, based on research and experience, that you should use when deciding which clinic is best for you.

1. Do you use real Medical Grade TGA approved Lasers or IPL for Permanent Hair
Reduction?

IPL (or anything finishing with PL such a SIPL, VPL etc ) – are not recommended for Permanent Hair Reduction. Real Medical Grade TGA approved Lasers is what you need to look out for.

2. What type of Laser do you use?
Candela Alexandrite Laser with DCD cooling device AND/OR Candela ND: Yag Laser with DCD cooling device are the highest medical grade quality lasers on the market

3. My Skin type is light complexion- What is the safest, fastest, most effective and comfortable laser for my skin type?
- Candela Alexandrite Laser with DCD cooling device is best.
My Skin type is (darker complexion) - What is the safest, fastest, most effective and comfortable laser for my skin type?
- Candela ND: Yag with DCD cooling device is best.

4. Who will provide my Laser Hair Removal treatments?
Diploma Graduate Therapist with minimum 5 years skin therapy experience
OR Registered Nurse who ONLY performs Laser Hair Removal treatments are best.

5. How many treatments will I need to achieve up to 90% permanent hair reduction ?
If the correct laser is used 6-8 treatments should be required for permanent hair reduction

6. How often will I need to visit on average?
Ideally:
Facial Areas every 6-8 weeks

Body Areas every 8-10 weeks

7. Do you provide a warranty with your treatments?
You want to know what will the Clinic do if the hair has not noticeably reduced after completing the course of treatments they have recommended)

8. What would you classify your business as:
Either of the following would be ideal.
A Cosmetic/Medical Surgery (offering Laser Hair Removal not IPL)
A Laser Clinic providing a range of Laser treatments
A Specialist Hair Removal Clinic (specialising ONLY in hair removal)

9. How many years have you specialised in hair removal?
10 years or more would be ideal.

This checklist will definitely put you on the right path to finding a professional laser hair removal service.
